The restaurant

Mezzencore is a popular Lebanese and Mediterranean restaurant concept created by two inseparable cousins: Bassel and Wael Zebib. Mezzencore is a company that offers quality mezzes based on fresh ingredients provided by selected partners. The cuisine is highlighted thanks to an ancestral culinary know-how to preserve and democratize this heritage. Mezzencore's flagship dish, Chicken Chawarma, actually became the best-selling dish in the world in 2022 on Deliveroo. The offer pleases, and so does the restaurant. They combine a variety of recipes to meet all needs, from individual meals to catering services, and innovation by revisiting recipes in association with the great names in gastronomy.

The situation

Mezzencore's takeout and delivery offering had been so popular that it had caused many problems.

Mezzencore was struggling to manage the large volume of deliveries it was receiving each day. With several virtual brands under its name, the number of deliveries kept increasing and the pressure on the counter became too great. Delivery people were coming in and out, creating constant confusion with customers eating in. "We had so many delivery people waiting at the counter that it became chaotic," said Bassel, one of the restaurant owners.

There was also a lack of clarity in the division of orders, between take-out and delivery.

In addition, because Mezzencore had multiple outlets, analyzing the data from each outlet was very time consuming. The error and refund rate was high, which affected the company's profitability and customer satisfaction.

The solution

The Zebib cousins heard about RusHour and decided to try it.

Thanks to RusHour, Mezzencore was able to manage all orders efficiently, especially during peak periods. The solution streamlined the delivery process by consolidating all orders on a single tablet. Delivery drivers were able to handle their deliveries more accurately, reducing order errors and refunds. Moreover, RusHour's automatic order acceptance option no longer allows orders to be left on hold. "Thanks to RusHour, we were able to optimize our delivery process and reduce errors, which had a significant impact on our profitability."

To solve the problem of confusion with deliverymen coming in and out of the restaurant frequently, RusHour installed a delivery screen in the restaurant's window that shows which orders are in preparation and which are ready to be delivered. Mezzencore has gone from a stressful and confusing situation to a smooth and optimized organization. The drivers can now concentrate on their work without being stressed, which has resulted in a significant improvement in delivery times. Finally, data from the various outlets is easily accessible from the Business Manager, which allows for better decision-making in terms of management and resource planning.
